Welcome to DualReader. By accessing or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

DualReader is a parallel translation and reading platform that allows users to upload documents and view them alongside machine-generated translations in a side-by-side format.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant DualReader a limited license to process, store, and translate that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership over your content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to the service.

5. Translations

Translations are generated by third-party AI models and are provided on an “as-is” basis. DualReader does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any translation. You should not rely on machine translations for legal, medical, or other critical purposes without independent verification.

6. Payments & Billing

Certain features require payment. All fees are stated at the time of purchase. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. API Keys

If you provide your own API keys for translation services, you are responsible for any costs incurred through those keys. DualReader is not liable for charges from third-party API providers.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your uploaded content will be deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DualReader and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
